Job Description:

As a Family Solicitor at Clements Solicitors, you will play a crucial role in handling a variety of family law cases and developing our family law services. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients on matters related to family and matrimonial law. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, strong advocacy skills, and a deep understanding of family law in the UK.

Client Consultation:

Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
Provide clear and concise legal advice on family law matters.

Case Management:

  • Manage a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child contact arrangement, financial settlements, and domestic violence issues.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, attend court hearings, and represent clients in negotiations.

Legal Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about changes in family law legislation and precedent cases.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.

Negotiation and Mediation:

  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Facilitate mediation sessions to resolve disputes amicably when possible.

Court Representation:

  • Represent clients in family court proceedings, presenting cases effectively.
  • Prepare and submit legal documents in compliance with the Family Procedure Rules

Client Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of case developments.
  • Provide updates on legal proceedings and advise on potential outcomes.


  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team on complex cases.
  • Work closely with support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in the UK.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in family law practice.
  • Strong knowledge of UK family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills.
